“Em casa”, a inglesa Adele foi a grande vencedora da premiação “Brit Awards 2016”, maior premiação da música britânica. No evento realizado na Arena O2, em Londres, a cantora recebeu seus troféus de disco do ano, por “25”, single britânico, por “Hello”, artista solo britânica feminina e o prêmio especial Ícone Global.
Ao receber o primeiro troféu, Adele discursou, e entre outros assuntos, mostrou apoio à cantora Kesha, que trava uma batalha na justiça contra o seu produtor, Dr. Luke, de quem ela pretende romper o seu contrato, alegando ter sido abusada.
One Direction, Coldplay e Justin Bieber também foram premiados. Já a britânica Lorde prestou homenagem ao ícone conterrâneo David Bowie, morto no mês passado.
